Ampersand Digital Microfinance Bank is currently recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Position: Head of Finance and Risk Management Officer
Job Location: Lekki, Lagos

Responsibilities
Head of Finance responsibilities shall include:

• Creating forecasting models,
• Assessing risk in investments and ensuring all accounting activities comply with regulations. experience crafting financial strategies and managing accounting teams.
• Forecast monthly, quarterly and annual results
• Approve or reject budgets
• Conduct risk management
• Evaluate and decide on investments

Requirements

• A minimum of first Degree in Accounting (additional qualification or professional certification in accounting is an added advantage).
• Candidate should have 10 years post qualification experience with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership and supervisory role.
• The ideal candidate shall supervise all financial accounting and risk management tasks and ensure efficient use of capital and financial assets.

Expected skills and Competencies:

• Candidates should have strong analytical skills, problem solving and critical reasoning skills and have a firm grasp of regulatory and compliance issues surrounding financial institutions and Microfinance Banks specifically.
• In addition, must be able to provide guidance for the entire staff and create a proactive risk awareness culture.
