The Nigerian Institute of Medical Research Yaba-Lagos, a parastatal of the Federal Ministry of Health hereby invites applications for suitably qualified candidates for the following positions:
 

 
Job Summary
- Provision of domiciliary visits in order to support the ongoing management of complex and vulnerable patients in the community, to support the work of GPs and the community matrons. This includes support to care homes to develop care plans to improve complex disease management and end of life care.
 - To provide consultant support to the Stroke Service with follow up of frail patients post-discharge through the Intermediate Care Teams 
- The delivery of a dedicated programme of community geriatric activity
- Rapid access outpatient clinics
- Medical input for the Intermediate Care Teams in order to ensure the most effective possible management of complex patients post-discharge, effective admission avoidance wherever possible and to reduce the length of stay by facilitating quicker discharges. It is planned that, initially at least, this input will be provided through a senior medical presence at the various multidisciplinary team meetings and domiciliary visits based on clinical need.
 
 
Qualifications
- 10 years experience after part II of the fellowship
  - A respiratory/chest physician with an MPH is an added advantage 
- Should Possess an MBBS
- Should have passed the part II of the fellowship of the Nigerian or West African Post-graduate Medical College in the faculty
