1.) Frontline Marketing Manager

Position Overview

  • Provide nuanced country/regional level input on marketing strategy and plans (e.g. consumer / shopper insights).
  • Develop relationships with key bottlers and ensure alignment and buy-in on market agenda.
  • Coordinate full details (calendars, resources, metrics) of local activation with Bottlers.
  • Identify needs for campaign localization or customization as necessary.
  • Provide input on media buying (in partnership with Market procurement).

What You’ll Do For Us

  • Manage the marketing plans and integration of plans in country/region with the relevant bottler. Also integrate plans with local commercial strategies together with Franchise team and bottler (objectives, Direct Marketing Expenses (DME) investments, tracking execution and success metrics, activity calendars, including Innovation projects and Integrated Marketing Experience (IMX) Campaigns).
  • Oversee localization and real-time amplification of Integrated Marketing Experiences (IMX) campaigns within the country/region, providing input to relevant Africa Operating Unit (OU) Integrated Marketing Experiences (IMX) team.
  • Manage brand activation at the local level, including POSM activations, consumer promotions, experiential marketing, and events (leveraging mkt assets), in coordination with bottlers.
  • Provide input on regional brand plans (activities, calendars, execution of allocated Direct Marketing Expenses (DME)) and local innovation opportunities.
  • Co-create on development of market-level innovation projects and provide market input for Africa Operating Unit  led Integrated Marketing Experiences (IMX) campaigns (as applicable).
  • Lead country/region marketing preparation and participation in key business System Review meetings. Support coordination of Franchise routines together with Franchise Managers/Directors & Channel Managers.
  • Work closely with Platform services to ensure timely procurement process management and compliance related to brand activations.
  • Key Marketing representative of respective country/region with the overall responsibility for the local relevance, alignment, and implementation of marketing plans. Work closely with Franchise team, Bottlers and collaborate across all functions to deliver the plan as measured by volume, share and profit.

Education Requirements

  •  Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related fields

Related Work Experience:

  • 6+ years of Significant market and leadership experience.
  • Direct experience with marketing activation.
  • Business and commercial acumen.
  • Experience working in cross-functional and cross-geographical teams is preferred.
  • Ideally experience working with The Coca-Cola Company external partners (bottlers and customers).

Job Description Summary
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement multi-year commercial and capability plans on Road to Market(and consumer) that support topline revenue growth and margin expansion expanding the system capability and right cost structure for profitability in Road to Market as well as using Value to Market to determine best approach to reach the consumer within the occasion we are targeting.
  • Target Value to Market-induced Portfolio Optimization and Management with focus on more impactful and sustainable Innovation, leveraging the full power of our full (hot and cold) portfolio; this role also includes the strategy definition around where and how to best leverage key equipment as Road to Market (e.g. vending)
  • Leverage superior understanding of all key execution levers to accelerate on Distribution, Equipment management, Salesforce effectiveness, Out-of-stocks & Cost-To-Serve Optimization using Road to Market framework (sense, shape and service) and thus grow topline (revenue expansion) and bottom line growth (cost to serve management)
  • Develop and shape our online Value to Market targeting channel/Customer margin requirements and fulfillment costs.
  • Key node in a network of Subject Matter Expert on Revenue Growth Management and Road to Market / Value to Market concepts (esp on Portfolio Optimization and Premiumization as well as Margin Expansion)
  • Support global category leaders as they develop brand/category strategies targeting Stock Keeping Unit optimization and outlet availability expansion.
  • Overview the implementation of the Value to Market Framework & tools, w/ focus on long term deployable and scaled system solutions for The Coca Cola Company and Bottlers.
  • Development alternative “Value to Market” solutions to maximize availability of The Coca Cola Company brands as well as optimizing the revenue growth from new The Coca Cola Company brands targeted for scale such as Costa
  • The role is laid out as an end to end system capability and will be collaboratively deployed with Global Customer & Commercial as well as our bottlers. It is likely to be customized for market context (developed, developing, emerging) and bottler capability need.

Requirements
Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree

Related Work Experience:

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in Commercial planning and commercial execution with strong skills in Revenue Growth Management, Segmentation, Road to Market , Value to Market, Innovation and Channel strategy.
  • Thought Leadership – ability to generate new ways of thinking about our business and identify innovative ways around effective and efficient ways to reach the right consumers
  • Proven system understanding incl Road to Market and Customer knowledge, incl deep understanding of the complexities of the System including bottler economics and system leverages, processes and tools in order to optimize solutions with our customers across channels.
  • Solid analytical and conceptual skills and ability to think from planning to execution and solid system commercial and brand management.
  • Solid Data Interpretation skills – ability to understand complex data and ability to explain to Customers, Bottlers, etc. in a way that is meaningful to their business needs.
  • Desirable to have candidates with Bottler experience.
