We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Quality Control Officer

Job Location: Epe, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Quality Control Officer ensures that raw materials, in-process items, and finished agro-food products meet the company’s quality standards and food safety requirements.

Core Function


  • Raw Material Quality Assurance: Inspect and verify quality of all incoming fish (wild & aquaculture), spices, salt, packaging, and other production materials.
  • In-Process Quality Monitoring: Monitor and enforce adherence to SOPs across gutting, cutting, washing, marinating, drying, and packaging lines.
  • HACCP Implementation and Monitoring: Ensure the company’s HACCP plan is strictly followed at all critical control points (CCPs) during processing and packaging.
  • Finished Goods Verification: Approve finished goods only if they meet defined quality and food safety benchmarks.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Audit Readiness: Maintain required documentation and support senior management in audit engagements with SON, NAFDAC, FDF, and others.
  • Quality Documentation and Reporting: Maintain logs and batch samples, issue non-conformance reports, track corrective actions, and support continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications and Skills

  • BSc Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in food QC/QA roles
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and ISO standards
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in lab testing procedures and report writing

2.) Head of Accounts

Job Location: Epe, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Description

  • The Head of Accounts is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations in the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in financial reporting and transaction processing.
  • Reporting to the Head of Finance, the role provides hands-on management of the accounting function, supervising the Accounts Associate and directly handling higher-level tasks such as financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and process improvements.
  • As the business grows, the Head of Accounts will play a key role in building and leading an expanded accounting team, establishing robust systems, and aligning the function to support corporate objectives.
  • This position requires strong technical expertise and leadership skills to deliver in a start-up environment while positioning the function for future scale.

Core Functions

  • Financial Management and Oversight: Supervise all accounting operations, including accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, and cost accounting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Manage and mentor the accounts team, conduct appraisals, and develop capacity to deliver organizational goals.
  • Reporting and Period-End Close: Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and ensure timely completion of period-end closing activities.
  • Internal Controls and Compliance: Establish, monitor, and enforce robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure adherence to statutory and tax obligations.
  • Business Support and Process Improvement: Partner with other departments to provide financial insights and drive continuous improvement initiatives in accounting processes.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable transaction taxes (VAT, WHT, PAYE, etc.), including accurate filing, remittances, and preparation of tax schedules to avoid penalties.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5 - 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) required.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial management practices.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws (VAT, WHT, PAYE, Company Income Tax) and experience in ensuring tax compliance.
  • Proven track record of leading teams and delivering results in a fast-paced setting.

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, cost accounting, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Sage).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial analysis skills.

Soft / Power Skills:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills; ability to mentor and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on process improvement and innovation.
  • High integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to deadlines.

3.) Executive Assistant & Data Analyst

Job Location: Epe, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The Executive Assistant & Data Analyst to the CEO is a hybrid, high-impact role responsible for supporting the CEO in strategic communication, stakeholder reporting, and business insight generation.
  • The role combines executive assistance, including preparing reports, presentations, and meeting packs, with data analysis responsibilities such as collecting, organizing, and visualizing operational, financial, and sales data for timely decision-making.
  • This role will interface with all departments - production, quality control, finance, sales, HR, logistics, and procurement - to gather reports and transform raw data into actionable insights. While primarily supporting the CEO, the role may occasionally assist other departments with presentation and reporting needs.
  • This position is ideal for a young, disciplined, and tech-savvy individual who is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality work under tight timelines.

Core Functions

  • Executive Reporting & Presentation Support: Prepare presentations, board reports, investor briefs, and business updates for the CEO using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and other visual aids. Ensure accuracy, professionalism, and clarity in all materials.
  • Business Data Collection & Consolidation: Liaise with all business units to collect timely data on sales, production, financial performance, QC reports, and operational metrics. Standardize data collection templates for consistency and efficiency.
  • Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Clean, organize, and analyze data using Excel and Power BI (or equivalent tools) to extract trends, insights, and forecasts that aid CEO and senior management decision-making.
  • Dashboard Creation & Monitoring: Develop interactive dashboards to track key business metrics (e.g., sales vs targets, yield analysis, batch costs, performance trends). Update dashboards weekly/monthly as agreed.
  • Task Coordination & Confidential Support: Manage sensitive tasks, schedules, documentation, and follow-ups for the CEO. Ensure timely execution of assigned projects and uphold confidentiality and discretion at all times.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, Finance, or related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in data analysis, business reporting, or executive support roles
  • Certifications in Power BI, Data Analytics, or Advanced Excel are a plus
  • Strong experience preparing professional business presentations and dashboards
  • Experience in a manufacturing, FMCG, or project-oriented environment is an advantage.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, slicers)
  • Strong command of Microsoft PowerPoint & Word
  • Working proficiency with Power BI or equivalent (e.g., Tableau, Google Data Studio)
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, Teams, or Google Workspace tools.
