1.) 

Head of Payments

Job Location: Lagos (Remote First) (Hybrid)

Job Description


  • As the Head of Payments, you will be instrumental in driving our strategy and payment partnerships to the next level while promoting the growth and success of our B2B payment operations and checkout solutions within our customer network.
  • This role requires a deep understanding of commercial payment processes, exceptional relationship management skills, and a proven track record of delivering innovative payment solutions to customers in the B2B sector.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the Go-To-Market strategy for the product
  • Identify opportunities to enhance DuploPay as a product to meet the specific needs of businesses and drive revenue growth.
  • Liaise with banking partners, payment schemes, lending partners, and suppliers on operational matters
  • Stay abreast of industry developments in payment services and best practices
  • Evaluating, recommending, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to develop new strategies and technologies
  • Ensure that our transaction reconciliation is done accurately and efficiently and meets all external and internal requirements
  • Support compliance and other teams as needed
  • Produce periodic cash forecasts to ensure funds are available for payment processing
  • Partner with the Head of Sales to develop and manage a high-performance sales team, drive commercial growth and provide strategic insight for the expansion of the business.
  • Work in close collaboration with Product Managers, Engineering Leaders, and Management to ensure the product is competitive and scaling.
  • Drive the development and implementation of tailored payment and checkout solutions that address the unique challenges of businesses.
  • Lead on Duplo Pay’s expansion beyond Nigeria
  • Implement robust risk management processes to address the complexities of payments within the mid-market and enterprise segments.
  • Utilize data analytics to monitor performance metrics and identify opportunities for optimization within the mid-market and enterprise client base.
  • Anticipate the evolving payment landscape and emerging regulations that could impact the product and the business.

Technical and Professional Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of payment industry trends, regulations, and best practices
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in payments, fintech
  • Robust understanding of the Nigerian Payment sector
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing payment strategies to drive revenue and business growth
  • Familiarity with payment gateways, processing systems, checkout solutions, and emerging payment technologies
  • Proven experience in driving the expansion of payment capabilities into new markets and geographies
  • Strong analytical skills to assess market data, performance metrics, and customer feedback to derive actionable insights and make data-driven decisions
  • Proven experience with strategic partnerships and stakeholder management

2.) Data Engineer

Job Location: Lagos (Remote)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Overview

  • We are looking to  hire a Data Engineer who will be responsible for building and optimizing our data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams.
  • The Data Engineer will support all data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing and organizing raw data
  • Building and maintaining optimal data pipeline architecture
  • Evaluating business needs and objectives
  • Interpreting trends, patterns and exploring ways to enhance data quality and reliability
  • Combining raw information from different sources
  • Building analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.
  • Identifying opportunities for data acquisition.

Requirements and Skills

  • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational  and nosql databases, query authoring (SQL)
  • We are looking for a candidate with 4+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role, who has attained a Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field
  • A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected data sets.
  • Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable ‘big data’ data stores.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
  • Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
  • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate should also have experience using the following software/tools:

  • Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
  • Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres and mongo.
  • Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift
  • Experience with stream-processing systems: Storm, Spark-Streaming, etc.
  • Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.

3.) Account Executive

Job Location: Lagos (Remote)

Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining lasting relationships with clients and partners by understanding their focus and anticipating their needs
  • Presenting and demonstrating products and services to prospective clients
  • Acquiring more clients through prospecting and canvassing e.g networking and cold calling.
  • Coordinating internal tasks related to accounts to ensure clients receive products and services
  • Assisting new clients through processes relating to the products and services to ensure seamless experience
  • Coordinating internal and external resources to expedite workflow
  • Unearthing new sales opportunities through networking and turning them into long-term partnerships
  • Remaining in regular contact with your clients to understand and meet their needs
  • Negotiating agreements, keeping records of sales and data and maintaining a database of clients, prospects, partners, and vendors
  • Staying current with company offerings and industry trends
  • Creating detailed business plans designed to attain predetermined goals and quotas
  • Managing the entire sales cycle from finding a client to securing a deal
  • Following up with clients regularly to ensure needs are being met and to identify opportunities.

Requirements

  • B.Sc or BA in Business Administration, Sales or Marketing or other related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as an Account Executive, or similar sales/customer service role
  • Knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles
  • A business acumen
  • Enthusiastic and passionate
  • Outstanding knowledge of google workspace; knowledge of CRM software (eg. Hubspot) is a plus
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts while seeking new ones.
