Job Description

  • SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for a Package Coordinator/Turbinist to join its work force in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. The responsibility of the incumbent includes and not limited to:

Purpose

  • He ensures that maintenance operations under his responsibility are carried out in strict accordance with Company's current safety rules and operating procedures and in accordance with standard industry practice, thereby guaranteeing the quality of maintenance operations, within his field, carried out on site by Contractor.

Operations:

  • Organizes on site the maintenance operations which are related to turbo machines by coordinating supervisors.
  • Assists the planning team by giving any technical support for the preparation of the jobs in his discipline.
  • Assists specialists working under Specific Maintenance Contracts (SMC),
  • Ensures that COMPANY’s HSE regulations are respected (especially procedures related to Work Permits), as well as approved operating procedures and standard industry practice during performance of maintenance operations placed under his responsibility,
  • Manages interventions using the CMMS,
  • Enters intervention reports in the CMMS (including those concerning SMC) and writes the technical reports related to his field,
  • Takes in charge the turbo packages in case of breakdown until correct operation status.
  • Assists operation team in conducting the turbo machines.

Methods:

  • Identifies recurrent corrective maintenance interventions, analyses them and suggests improvements
  • Keeps a critical eye on current preventive maintenance programmes and, if need be, suggests improvements,
  • Warns support teams of any recurring problems related to the availability or quality of spare parts,
  • Suggests improvements and requests modifications.
  • Monitors the functioning of turbo machines, by following important parameters of the packages,

Quality Assurance:

  • Verifies the quality of interventions by frequent on-site checks
  • He is responsible for the reliability and integrity of turbo machines

Profile
The holder of this position must have the following qualifications:

  • Higher National Diploma or Certificate (HND/HNC (A-levels + 3 years. study) or BTS/DUT or equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the maintenance or operation field on gas turbine.

Specific professional knowledge:

  • Gas turbine
  • Gas compressor
  • Ability to lead and motivate multi-national teams,
  • Pride in his work, ability to maintain good relations with colleagues and others,
  • Physical ability to work on offshore installations in the climatic conditions of the site.

Languages: English

  • He must have proven ability as a leader of small teams. Perfectly competent and independent in his field, he must show common sense and organisational ability.

Minimum level of experience required:

  • 6 years or more.

2.) Campaign Preparation Supervisor

Job Description

  • The Campaigns Preparation Supervisor is responsible for the advanced planning, coordination and preparation of heavy maintenance, construction, and integrity restoration campaigns.
  • The position is responsible for delivery of low complexity (single discipline) construction and fabrication scopes, vendor-managed package restorations, integrity inspection program planning, and other campaign works.
  • The position enables the effectiveness of SPIE GMC Field Execution Team (FET) resources through planning and coordination of low complexity job scopes.
  • This role ensures that low complexity projects and campaigns are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with client management systems, including Work Management System, Safe Work Practice requirements, Global Practices and specifications, and Management of Change.
  • The Supervisor oversees a team of several execution leads and engineers who are responsible for developing detailed project plans and schedules.
  • The team is responsible for brownfield verification of campaign requirements; conceptual construction plans and constructability assessments; development of MTOs, work packages, and resource-loaded execution schedules; oversight of onshore fabrication and pre-mobilization work, including QAQC at vendor sites; management of third party vendors; and ensuring adherence to client specifications and relevant codes and standards.

Profile

  • Technical Diploma or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in construction or campaign planning and execution
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • In depth knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards
  • Expertise in project management, piping, welding, fabrication, and offshore topsides structural elements
  • Proficiency in maintenance planning software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members, vendors, and senior management.
  • Supervisory role within oil and gas industry
  • Relevant certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP).

3.) Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) Specialist (Triconex)

Job Description

  • SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for a PLC Specialist (Triconex) to join its workforce in Nigeria.

Responsibilities

  • Direct responsibility for the maintenance, operation and configuration of the hardware and software of the Akpo Safety Instrumented System (Schneider Electric Triconex System) subsystem of the Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS).
  • Partial responsibility for the Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) and associated devices of all Packages within the AKPO Industrial Information System (SII).
  • Maintain, operate and perform routine tasks on the Process Safety System (PSS), Fire and Gas System (FGS) and Emergency Shutdown System (ESD) of the Triconex Safety Instrumented System.
  • Apply and manage maintenance inhibitions in the systems as requested, directed and controlled by COMPANY rules and procedures. Register and maintain all such inhibitions on the AKPO Inhibition Tool database as par COMPANY rules.
  • Prepare with the ICSS Adminstrator preventive and corrective actions and modifications of the Control Systems under his responsibility.
  • Manage and document in technical reports, interventions using the CMIMS and work packs provided by the planning team.
  • Follow up the parameter values and alarms in the concerned systems under his responsibility and perform trouble shooting if required.
  • Maintain an accurate and auditable log of all system faults and inhibits (Short term and long term).
  • Identify, in the preparatory stage of maintenance works, any sensitive operation and ensure that a proper assessment of the risks involved is carried out beforehand.
  • Review and assure that all Software Modifications and corrective actions are  validated by COMPANY and all impacted documentations are updated after implementation.

Profile

  • Knowledge of the oil and gas treatment process, installations and equipment.
  • Advanced knowledge and skill in Schneider's Triconex Safety Instrumented Systems.
  • Knowledge of general instrumentation concepts, field devices (sensors and final elements), instrument loops, etc.
  • Awareness  of  Emerson's  DeltaV  Process  Control  System,  Siemens' SIMATIC  Industrial  Automation  Systems  and  Allen Bradley's ControlLogix System is an added advantage.

Required Authorisations
The holder of this position must have the following qualifications:

  • Minimum level of experience required: 6 years or more
  • 6 years of experience in the field of Control and Safety Systems and a minimum of 3 years as a Specialist in Control and Safety systems in the Oil and Gas / Petrochemical industry.
  • Awareness of SAP CMIMS or similar.
  • Awareness of Operator Training Simulators.
  • Safety Instrumented Systems certificate.
