We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Second Engineer

Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Duties & Responsibilities


  • Engine room watch keeping and general cleaning of machineries in the engine room
  • Assist Chief Engineer during maintenance of main and auxiliary engines, and other ancillary machineries
  • Replacement of filters, lube oil, hydraulic oil and other oils in the main and auxiliary engines
  • Preparation and maintenance of rough log records
  • Assist Chief Engineer in maintaining adequate inventory of mechanical equipment spares and request replacements as required 6. Carryout other jobs as assigned by the Chief Engineer onboard

Educational Qualifications, Certifications and Experience
Educational Qualifications:

  • MEA Certificate of Competency or OOW
  • HND in Marine Engineering
  • Associate certificate from NIMASA approved Maritime institution.
  • Discharge Book
  • Yellow Book
  • STCW Basic Mandatory certificates
  • NIMASA Medicals
  • International Passport

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience

2.) Chief Engineer

Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Carry out inspections, minor repairs and maintenance programs onboard, as detailed in the planned maintenance system manual.
  • Manage fuel, and fuelling and distributionsystems.
  • Responsible for technical tools and tool boxes assigned to the vessel.
  • Keep proper engine room watch.
  • Management of subordinates and resources under him.
  • General Problem Trouble-shootingand Crisis Management.
  • Determines the consumables required and control the ordering of technical spares ensuring spare parts are in adequate supply for all voyages.
  • Ensure proper logging of the hourly/daily engine room activities
  • Management of power and deck machineries (compressors, sewage treatment, pumps and oil separators)
  • Interpersonal Skills and Team spirit.
  • Prepares the engine room for inspection.

Educational Qualifications, Certifications and Experience
Educational Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Competence – Second Engineer License Regulation III/2

3.) Chief Mate

Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Captain for the safe navigation and piloting of the vessel.
  • Assist the Captain for Chart plotting and Voyage planning.
  • Take responsibility of navigational and Safety equipment on board, ensuring proper and efficient use.
  • Maintain and compile a troubleshooting service logs for navigational instruments to ensure common issues can be resolved in a more efficient manner.
  • Ensure that logs accurately reflect the current status of equipment.
  • Assist the captain with compliance with Safety Management System thus allowing for safe, efficient operations
  • Assist with proper shipboard management.
  • Maintain log of the boat’s operations, detailing pertinent events that occur on the vessel while offshore.
  • Maintain proper Radar watch, Radio watch and observe Bridge procedures as recommended by IMO Regulations.
  • Undertake routine maintenance tasks, safety checks and other maintenance as may be required.
  • Maintain team work with all personnel/crew as applicable
  • Maintain good communication with crew members.
  • Ensure that equipment failure is kept to a minimum and within contractual limits.
  • Responsible for checking all navigation tools and resources are in good working condition before departure.
  • Carry out Safety drills on-board in conjunction with OiC and proper notification to the client
  • Maintain, correct and prepare nautical charts. Present Voyage report at the end of each trip to reflect the status of all Navigation, Safety, accommodation and Deck equipment

Educational Qualifications, Certifications and Experience
Educational Qualifications:

  • NIMASA Reg II/1 Certificate of Competency or OOW Reg II/3
  • National Diploma and/or WAEC.
  • NIMASA Medicals
  • Discharge Book
  • Associate certificate from NIMASA approved Maritime institution.
  • STCW Basic Mandatory certificates
  • Yellow Book
  • International Passport

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience Competencies:
