Job Description

• Interpret prescription orders accurately.
• Dispense medications in the correct dosage and form.
• Offer guidance on potential side effects and adverse reactions.
• Discuss drug interactions and precautions.
• Address patient questions and concerns about medications.
• Promote medication adherence and compliance.
• Review patient medication profiles for accuracy and completeness.
• Label medications with appropriate instructions and warnings.
• Verify prescription validity and patient information.
• Provide clear instructions on medication use, dosage, and administration.
• Monitor patient responses to medication therapy.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of medications.
• Conduct medication reconciliation to prevent errors.
• Implement strategies to reduce medication errors and adverse events.
• Participate in medication safety initiatives and quality improvement efforts
• Manage pharmacy inventory and procurement processes.
• Maintain accurate records of prescription dispensing and patient information.
• Adhere to pharmacy regulations, laws, and standards of practice.
• Ensure compliance with medication storage, handling, and disposal requirements.

Qualifications

• A minimum of First Degree in Pharmacy
• 2-3 years of experience working in a pharmacy
