Job Position: Senior Software Engineer

Job Location: Lagos, Hybrid (at least 3 times per week)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• We’re looking for an experienced software engineer who will play a key role in the software development team leading and working alongside engineers to build applications. '
• You will be involved in all stages of the software development cycle working alongside other engineers, product managers, and software testers collaborating on the various elements of the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Ensures applications are implemented using software engineering best practices
• Responsible for the stability and reliability of products
• Responsible for product quality, security, and performance
• Ensures robust technical documentation

Experience and Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or related field)
• 3+ years of relevant software development experience
• Expert-level understanding of backend language: PHP/NodeJs, MySQL
• Understanding of Web Framework CodeIgniter for PHP
• Experience leading a team of software engineers in an agile environment
• Comfortable working within agile methodologies and experienced in estimation and time management
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS
• Strong knowledge of at least one cloud hosting platform
• Comfortable with at least one CI/CD tool
• Experience in React or any other front-end JavaScript framework preferable
• Good problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills.
