Job Position: Account Officer
Job Location: Abuja
Requirements
- Candidate must have a BSc or HND in Accounting or any Social Science course.
- Must be an ICAN professional or chartered accountant.
- Must have at least 2 years cognate experience in the job role.
Job Description
- Preparation and filing of monthly loan and investment interest payment report/schedule.
- Preparation and documentation of monthly salary schedule for execution, computing and filing monthly tax returns, preparation of monthly insurance schedule and preparation of monthly budget report.
- Preparation of periodic Statement of Profit or Loss (cash and accrual), Year-to-date Statement of Financial position, and Cashflow statement.
- Provide daily transaction update report to loan and investment department. Collection of daily schedules from investment and credit officers.
- Execution of outbound transfers for loan disbursement to loan clients, expense payment through facility manager, interest and principal repayment to investors, and other transfers as director from the Manager.
- Periodic examination and reconciliation of bank statement with general entries. (weekly and monthly).
- Prepare monthly financial forecasts or projections for loan repayment (principal or interest or both) and for investment (interest and principal) respectively.
- Carrying out treasury functions such as; Prepare monthly reports matching expected loan payments (inflows) with investment payments (outflows) considering tenor, interest and principal (deposit- liability matching).
- Prepare and analyze monthly forecasted financial statement (SOCI, SOFP, and Cashflow statement) for strategic decision making.
- Establish, proffer and implement cost management strategies.
- Evaluate financial performance by measuring actual against forecasted results, analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; be comfortable interacting with executive-level management.
- Analyzing financial data.
- Carrying out departmental and organizational risk assessment.
- Other duties as specified by your supervisor.
