Job Position: General Manager of Finance

Position Overview

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager of Finance to lead our finance department. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial principles, with extensive experience in the finance industry.
  • The role requires a strong background in letter of credit, loans, and corporate financing, along with exceptional leadership and strategic planning abilities.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the company's objectives and financial goals.
  • Analyze market trends, economic indicators, and industry benchmarks to identify opportunities for growth and risk mitigation.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the executive team based on financial analysis and forecasting.

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Oversee the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis reports.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide regular reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics and trends.
  • Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess the impact of various financial decisions.

Capital Management:

  • Manage the company's capital structure and optimize the use of financial resources.
  • Evaluate and execute financing options, including debt financing, equity financing, and other capital-raising strategies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions, investors, and other stakeholders.

Risk Management:

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks through effective risk management practices.
  • Monitor compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
  • Implement controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.

Treasury Management:

  • Oversee cash flow planning and management to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs and investment opportunities.
  • Manage foreign exchange exposure and hedge currency risks through appropriate financial instruments.
  • Optimize the company's working capital management and cash conversion cycle.

Letter of Credit and Corporate Financing:

  • Utilize expertise in letter of credit, loans, and corporate financing to structure deals and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Evaluate creditworthiness of counterparties and assess risks associated with financing transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements governing financing activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience of 5 years in finance leadership roles, preferably within the finance industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing financial operations and driving business growth.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, CFA, or ACCA is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial principles, including letter of credit, loans, corporate financing, and capital markets.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in microsoft office packages.
  • Ability to lead and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making ability, with a focus on integrity and ethical conduct.
