We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Accountant 

Job Location: Gudu, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The ideal candidate will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong business acumen.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for management review.
  • Assist with audits, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare tax filings.
  • Use accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial data.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • With 2-7 years of experience
  • Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Professional certification (ICAN, CPA or ACCA) is a plus.
