Position Summary

  • We are seeking to hiring an accountant whose vital roles includes: managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Generate periodic financial reports and present them to management, highlighting key financial indicators and trends.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and perform journal entries for various transactions.
  • Monitor and reconcile bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assist in financial modeling and forecasting exercises to support strategic decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and relevant regulations.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to queries.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and mitigate risks.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify deviations from budgeted or expected results.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Provide recommendations to improve financial performance, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
  • Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and assess their impact on financial processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and management, to gather financial information and support business initiatives.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting department.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or Finance
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and financial management systems.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel) for data analysis and financial modeling.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

Salary
N100,000 - N200,000 Monthly.
