Position Summary
- We are seeking to hiring an accountant whose vital roles includes: managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Generate periodic financial reports and present them to management, highlighting key financial indicators and trends.
- Maintain general ledger accounts and perform journal entries for various transactions.
- Monitor and reconcile bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist in financial modeling and forecasting exercises to support strategic decision-making
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and relevant regulations.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to queries.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and mitigate risks.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify deviations from budgeted or expected results.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
- Provide recommendations to improve financial performance, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and assess their impact on financial processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and management, to gather financial information and support business initiatives.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting department.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or Finance
- 3 - 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and financial management systems.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel) for data analysis and financial modeling.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Salary
N100,000 - N200,000 Monthly.
