Job Summary

• The Accountant is responsible for managing the school’s financial records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency in all financial transactions.
• The role involves preparing financial reports, managing budgets, reconciling accounts, and supporting management with financial planning and decision-making to ensure the school’s financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and ensure proper documentation.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations.
• Support the preparation and monitoring of school budgets and expenditure.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, school policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage petty cash and ensure proper internal controls are maintained.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements for audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Track and report tuition fees, levies, and other income streams.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for strategic decisions.
• Support financial planning for school projects and capital expenditures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
