Job Position: Accounting Operations Manager

Job Description

  • Manage payables – track outstanding liabilities, forecast cash requirements to meet obligations; plan weekly/ daily payments.
  • Supplier accounting/book-keeping – maintain accurate records of supplier accounts and conduct periodic reconciliation with suppliers
  • Communicate with team members, key business stakeholders, and others to answer questions, provide support, and ensure timely completion of accounting processes for on-time reporting
  • Acts as liaison to external auditors by explaining journal entries and financial transactions, providing research data and information as requested, and answering questions necessary to complete the audit in a timely manner
  • Process payables, cash receipts, cash disbursements, and general ledger functions
  • Complete month-end process, consisting of bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliation, depreciation/amortization of fixed assets and prepaid, and properly accrue expense
  • Manage a team of analysts and officers to achieve the aforementioned functions

Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Second Class Upper Division / HND Upper Credit)
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in treasury management, accounting operations, or related roles.
  • Membership with professional bodies such as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) or the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
