We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Civil Engineer - Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA / QC)

Job Location: Ibeju Lekki (LFTZ), Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Daily field inspection of construction operations to ensure compliance with approved Project Design, Drawings, specifications, ITP and approved Project Quality Plans
• Prepares and signs applicable records for quality surveillance/inspections/tests.
• Reviewing third laboratory test Reports.
• Inspect and ensure all work is correctly prepared before any work is undertaken.
• Documentation of all RFI’s (Request for Inspection) after signed by the Engineer.
• Ensure that all inspection reports are accurate and that all attached documents are Up-to-date.
• Maintain records of calibration, inspection, and testing equipment.
• Testing & and preparing reports of Compressive Strength of Concrete cubes for daily concrete work.
• Inspection and testing of Concrete, Steel reinforcement, Soil, Stone base, blocks, pavers, concrete raw materials, Coarse aggregate, Fine aggregate, and Cement etc
• Inspection of all formwork and Reinforcement steelwork as per standard.
• Conducting material inspections for all Construction items delivered at the site.
• Preparing daily, Weekly & and monthly progress reports for the work done in the quality control section.
• Maintaining comprehensive documentation of quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance records, to track project progress and compliance.
• Identifying non-conformities and implementing corrective actions to address quality issues promptly, collaborating with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve issues effectively.
• Providing training and guidance to project team members on quality standards, procedures, and best practices to promote a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement.
• Conduct training programs at the site for the development and improvement of workmanship thereby achieving better productivity.
• Preparing and reviewing work method statements, inspection test plans and checklists as per specifications, International standards and code of practice.
• Conducting regular inspections and tests on materials, workmanship, and construction processes to identify defects, deviations from specifications, and areas for improvement.
• Communicating with all stakeholders regarding quality-related matters, addressing concerns, providing updates, and ensuring alignment with management’s expectations.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess HND / B.Eng Degrees with 6 - 10 years of relevant work experience.
