Job Position: Compliance Manager

Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Scope of the Role


  • The Compliance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all company operations comply with relevant financial regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
  • The role involves monitoring compliance risks, implementing compliance programs, and providing guidance to the organization on regulatory matters.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain Compliance program to ensure the Company’s compliance to applicable laws, regulations and guidelines.
  • Conduct Compliance risk assessments and compliance audits to identify potential gaps and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure company operations comply with regulatory bodies such as the Central Bank, AML (Anti-Money Laundering) laws, and data privacy regulations.
  • Keep up to date with changing regulations and advise leadership on compliance obligations.
  • Provide compliance training to employees to promote awareness and adherence to internal policies.
  • Develop and oversee Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) processes.
  • Investigate compliance violations and recommend corrective and disciplinary actions.
  • Assist the CCO to prepare periodic compliance reports to Executive Management and regulatory bodies.
  • Implement effective monitoring systems to ensure regulatory compliance of the company.
  • Follow up to determine adequacy of corrective action plans.

Technical Knowledge / Minimum Requirements

  • Professional Qualification: Any Compliance Professional etc will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in compliance management, risk, or regulatory affairs within the financial or fintech industry.
  • Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree / HND qualification
  • Strong knowledge of financial laws, data protection regulations, and risk assessment frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of e-payment compliance, risk management, and financial regulations will be an added advantage.
  • Experience with AML, KYC, and fraud detection policies.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices for data protection and cybersecurity compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
