About This Role


  • As an Instructional Design Intern, you will play a vital role in creating engaging and educational content for our tech-focused learning product, which includes animated series and other interactive materials.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to develop creative and factual learning scripts for animators to work with, ensuring that the content is informative, engaging, and aligned with educational best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the instructional design team to create engaging and factual learning scripts for animated series and other content.
  • Conduct research on programming concepts and pedagogical approaches to ensure accurate and up-to-date content.
  • Occasionally provide voiceover/voicing for the scripts, delivering clear and expressive narration.
  • Collaborate with animators, providing guidance and feedback to ensure the visuals align with the educational objectives.
  • Apply instructional design principles and strategies to structure content to maximize learning outcomes.
  • Write clear, concise, and age-appropriate scripts that effectively convey programming concepts to young learners.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely delivery of content that meets quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed a Degree in Education, Instructional Design, Computer Science, Mass Communication, or a related field in ICT, Arts & Humanities.
  • Knowledge or interest in programming concepts, preferably with experience in coding languages such as Scratch, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Proficiency in researching and synthesizing information from diverse sources to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Ability to adapt instructional content to various learning styles and preferences.
  • Experience or interest in voiceover work, with the ability to deliver clear and expressive narration.
  • Familiarity with educational best practices and learning theories, particularly in eLearning environments.
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to create engaging and age-appropriate content for children.
  • Creativity and the ability to think outside the box to create innovative and interactive learning experiences.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to simultaneously meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
  • A passion for education and a genuine interest in making programming accessible and enjoyable for children.
  • Familiarity with child development theories and principles, adapting content to different age groups.
  • Experience in designing robust assessments or quizzes to evaluate learning outcomes.
