General Description

  • Finance officer will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will work closely with the finance team and other stakeholders to maintain accurate financial records, analyse financial data, and provide strategic financial guidance to the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient and effective management of financial resources, including investments and pension funds.

Educational Qualification / Person Specification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master's Degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in finance, accounting, or investment management, preferably in the pension or financial services industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound knowledge of financial principles, accounting practices, and investment analysis.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to pensions and financial services.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Integrity and a high level of ethical conduct

Work Experience / Requirement

  • 2 -5 years and above in similar position preferably financial service (PFA or others)

Job Function
Financial Management:

  • Manage the day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.
  • Monitor financial transactions, review financial reports, and provide recommendations for improving financial performance.

Investment Management:

  • Assist in managing the pension funds and investment portfolios.
  • Conduct financial analysis and research to identify potential investment opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of investment holdings and provide regular reports to senior management.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, including pension fund regulations, tax laws, and financial reporting standards.
  • Prepare financial reports, statements, and other documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and examinations.

Financial Analysis and Planning:

  • Conduct financial analysis to assess the financial health of the pension firm.
  • Develop and implement financial models, forecasting tools, and performance indicators to support strategic decision-making.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management based on the analysis of financial data.

Risk Management:
