FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

To Support the Chief Finance Controler with the following functions

• Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives • Assist in Monitoring and directing the implementation of strategic business plans

• Develop financial and tax strategies • Manage the capital request and budgeting processes • Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction and assist in formulating and implementing Finance/Accounts policy for the Company

• To ensure the preparation of annual budget based on input from other Departments, prepare weekly and monthly cash planning to prevent imprest account cash shortage and ensure healthy cash flow for the Company

• To ascertain prompt payment of staff salary/overtime and suppliers on due dates • Remittance of taxes and other statutory dues are made promptly in accordance with federal laws

• To ensure that the Company receives prompt payment from customers on sales of finished goods

• To ensure prompt preparation of monthly financial statement of the Company, identifying and explaining the variance regarding the budget

• Liase with bank account officers on bank related matters

• Co-ordinate smooth running of Navision software for accounting purposes.

• Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations

• Perform any other finance/accounts functions as may be assigned by the CFO or Management from time to time

JOB REQUIREMENT

EDUCATION

Minimum requirement:  Bsc/HND Accounting/Financial studies or M.Sc in the same field.

• Added advantage: Master of Business Administration (MBA)

EXPERIENCE

Minimum requirement:  Ten years Accounting/Auditing experience at management level in manufacturing sector. Experience in reporting to Director level would be an added advantage.

Added Advantage: More than ten years Accounting/Auditing experience in manufacturing sector.

PROFESSIONAL (MEMBERSHIPS & CERIFICATIONS)

Minimum requirement: ACCA, ACA

Added Advantage:  International Certification in Financial Accounting.

Reporting experience to Senior Executive Management
