Job Position: General Ledger Accounts Officer

Background
- A group operating in the real estate sector requires the services of a detail-oriented GL accounts officer to perform accounting tasks. You will be responsible for performing general ledger entries and account reconciliations using QuickBooks accounting software.
- To ensure success as a GL accounts officer, you should demonstrate a sound knowledge of best practices in general ledger accounting and experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities
- Posting and categorizing all of the company's bank transactions into QuickBooks.
- Entering financial data such as accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and interdepartmental entries into the ledger on a monthly basis, as well as preparing reports.
- Generating, coding, filing transaction supporting documentation, and performing recordkeeping.
- Preparing all tax remittance schedules and processing them on a timely basis
- Performing audits on financial data to assure its accuracy and truthfulness.
- Ensuring that financial information complies with professional and regulatory standards.
- Aligning general ledger accounting practices to support budgeting and forecasting.
- Perform account analysis to ensure that journal entries and balances are correct.
- Reconciling accounts with the general ledger, including bank reconciliation.
- Keeping abreast of regulatory requirements and best practices in accounting.
Requirements
- B.Sc, HND, OND or Associates Degree in Accounting / Finance.
- ACA and ACCA are preferred but not mandatory.
- At least 4 years of experience in general ledger accounting working with QuickBooks
- Proficiency in accounting, finance, and business management software, such as QuickBooks.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Superb time-management and organizational skills.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

- N200,000 Gross monthly
