The JobMag - Our client, a Dry-cleaning and Laundry out fit, is recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Trainee Engineer

Main Purpose of Position

• To ensure that the company's production facility achieves up-time greater than 90%
• To provide technical advice and ‘hands on’ services in preventive and corrective maintenance of machines, equipment and facilities

Job Description

• Monitors all production equipment, ancillaries and electrical installations and act proactively towards minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity;
• Manage and supervise all jobs (mechanical and electrical works) contracted out ensuring that contracts are discharged without delay and in accordance with details set out in the contractual agreement;
• Undertakes maintenance activities and works, supporting logistics and maintenance officers across branches in the performance of their duties;
• To ensure that spares required for keeping the production facility are requested for in time;
• Identifies potential hazards and report to Management;
• Renders occasional assistance to factory heads and workers especially as it relates to equipment used in the factory;
• Analyzes technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects;
• Manage and monitor the Contract Team
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the General Manager

Qualification and Experiences

• B.Sc/HND in either Electrical/Electronics or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 1 - 2 years experience in a related position

Required Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Maintenance procedures for the various equipments
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Effective presentation and report writing
• Adept in technology advancements and other engineering aspects
• Great interpersonal skills.
• Quick observer and ready to learn new things

Remuneration
Salary: N50,000 - N70,000
