Description

  • Our client is looking to hire a seasoned and strategic leader to serve as the Head of Operations and Finance for their brand.
  • The Head of Operations and Finance will oversee the bank's day-to-day operations, financial management, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities


  • Provide strategic direction and oversight for all operational activities of the brand.
  • Streamline operational processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer service.
  • Develop and manage the brand's financial strategies, including budgeting, financial reporting, and risk management.
  • Monitor the brand's financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Ensure the brand's compliance with microfinance regulations, banking laws, and relevant industry standards.
  • Provide effective leadership to operational and finance teams, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.
  • Develop talent within the organization through coaching, training, and professional development initiatives.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including investors, board members, and partners.
  • Represent the bank in industry associations, forums, and relevant events.
  • Collaborate with regulatory authorities and maintain a strong understanding of changing regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and manage potential risks to the brand's reputation, financial health, and operations.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies and controls to protect the brand's assets.
  • Foster a customer-centric culture by promoting excellent customer service and relationship building.
  • Engage with clients to understand their financial needs and promote the brand's products and services.
  • Report regularly to the board of directors on the brand's performance, strategic initiatives, and risk management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, governance, and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proven track record of at least 5 years in executive leadership roles within the microfinance or banking sector.
  • Strong knowledge of microfinance regulations, banking operations, and financial management.
  • Ability to think strategically and drive innovation.
  • Sound understanding of risk management principles.
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using banking software and Microsoft Office suite.
