We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Supervisor

Job Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full time


Purpose of the Job

  • To assist in managing & coordinating structured systems for the implementation of ISO 45001 practices for the safety, health and environment of the employees and factory.

The Job

  • Manage and support the safety manager in hazard analysis and lead accident investigations for preventive actions.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop safe operational procedures.
  • Record all incidents (including near miss, unsafe act, and condition) as well as accidents and produce KPI statistics.
  • Respond to reports of unsafe conditions (e.g., electrical hazards, loose stair treads, etc.) by requesting repairs or maintenance and taking into cognizance material for submission to the HSE priority investment budget in form of GAP Analyses.
  • Outline safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards including PPE concept revision and monitoring.
  • Carry out regular site inspections to check that policies and procedures are properly implemented and create weekly audit reports with follow up.
  • Document inspection findings and suggest improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with Company’s safety, health and environment rules and procedures, including regulatory requirements and aim at implementing best practices.

Qualifications

  • OND in Environmental Sciences or Engineering.
  • Membership of Institute of Occupational Safety & Health, Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria, IOSH Membership is an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Have 2 years of experience in FMCG/ Oil & Gas
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.

  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Have excellent critical thinking and high level of numeracy abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
