Job Position: Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)

Directly Reports to: HR Director
Indirectly Reports to: General Manager, Operations
Supervises: Foremen, HR/Admin Officers
Indirect Oversight: Over 100 skilled and unskilled workers across multiple sites


Job Summary

  • The HRBP partners strategically with ichr group’s leadership, foremen, and clients to ensure effective HR management across operational sites.
  • This role drives talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and compliance while working proactively and independently within a field-focused environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
Operational Responsibilities:

  • Primary HR liaison supporting foremen, supervisors, and field staff.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, payroll coordination, and workforce deployment.
  • Conduct site visits for engagement, compliance, and safety oversight.
  • Support disciplinary processes, performance issues, and grievance handling.
  • Liaise with the HR Director and GM Operations to align HR strategy with business needs.

Key Responsibilities / Major Tasks

  • Lead recruitment for skilled and unskilled roles.
  • Identify training needs and roll out development programs.
  • Foster client relationships and ensure HR support aligns with project expectations.
  • Implement performance appraisal systems to drive productivity.
  • Monitor HR metrics and feedback to inform leadership decisions.
  • Assist with HR policy development, change management, and employee engagement initiatives.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Project staffing readiness and timeliness.
  • Compliance with labor laws, safety standards, and internal HR policies.
  • HRD, Foremen and client satisfaction with HR delivery.
  • Reduction in delays in HR legal and internal documentation, turnover, absenteeism, and disciplinary incidences.
  • Completion of training/development initiatives and accurate HR reporting.

Requirements
Educational Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or higher in HR Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of HR experience, preferably in field/operational contexts (e.g., construction, oil & gas).
  • CIPM or equivalent HR certification highly preferred.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR practices.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, payroll systems, and workforce management tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
  • Strong initiative, self-motivation, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution abilities.

Remuneration
N100,000 - N120,000 / Month
