About the Role
- Our client is seeking a high agency, fast learning lawyer who is interested in the US immigration law.
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Research & Case Preparation:
- Conduct detailed research on U.S. immigration laws, regulations, and policies.
- Prepare and draft petitions, applications, and supporting documentation for O1, EB1, and EB2-NIW visas.
Client Intake & Management:
- Conduct initial client intake sessions to gather critical information for case evaluation.
- Manage client relationships by maintaining clear, consistent communication throughout the visa process.
- Address client inquiries and provide timely updates on case progress.
Drafting & Documentation:
- Draft compelling cover letters and legal arguments to support visa applications.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all case-related documents.
- Work closely with attorneys to review and finalize case filings.
Collaboration & Coordination:
- Coordinate with attorneys to manage case strategy and timelines.
- Liaise with clients, attorneys, and external stakeholders to gather necessary evidence and materials.
- Maintain meticulous case records using digital case management systems.
Process Improvement & Compliance:
- Identify opportunities to improve internal processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. immigration laws and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Education: LL.B from a reputable University.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of post-Bar experience.
- Expertise: In managing clients and having a deep understanding of immigration law, including drafting cover letters and petitions.
- Skills: Strong writing and research skills, with the ability to craft compelling arguments. High attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing case materials. Strong ability to conduct both legal and general research efficiently.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with case management software and remote collaboration tools.
- Client-focused: Exceptional interpersonal skills for client intake, relationship management, and case coordination.
Salary
N400,000 - N550,000 / month.
