We are currently recruiting to fill the following positions below:
1.) IT Site Support

Job Location: Apapa, Lagos
The Role
- The IT Site Support plays a critical role in ensuring smooth technology operations at APM Terminals Apapa.
- This position is responsible for shaping terminal business demands, aligning requirements, and driving the delivery of IT solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
- Working closely with the Terminal IT Manager and business stakeholders, the IT Site
- Support identifies opportunities for improvement and ensures successful adoption of new IT capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide frontline IT support for terminal operations, ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolution of issues
- Research and analyze improvement opportunities, prepare recommendations, and implement efficiency solutions
- Develop and maintain documentation for business requirements and process improvements
- Collaborate with service and functional teams to identify and implement technology enhancements
- Support modernization and standardization of terminal technology portfolio in alignment with regional strategies
- Ensure terminal requirements are captured during global and regional technology implementations
- Assist in cost modeling and budgeting for IT projects and terminal tech upgrades
- Manage end-to-end terminal IT demands, including prioritization and escalation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across IT processes and systems.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IT support or infrastructure management
- Strong understanding of terminal operations and ITIL standards
- Advanced data analysis and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple demands and deliver under pressure
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with IT tools and technologies relevant to terminal operations.

2.) Operations Shift Manager

Employment Type: Full-time
The Role
- The Shift Manager is responsible for managing all terminal operations during assigned shifts, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of activities.
- This role is pivotal in delivering operational excellence and outstanding customer service while optimizing resources and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and direct the execution team across vessel, yard, and gate operations to achieve productivity and efficiency targets.
- Monitor and analyze operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Ensure seamless coordination between operations and maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
- Manage shift costs, including overtime and general expenditures, and contribute to financial reviews.
- Guarantee reliable service to customers by ensuring vessels sail on schedule and operational standards are met.
- Drive compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, conducting regular safety briefings and investigations.
- Promote consistent application of company policies and fair treatment across the team.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and career development opportunities for team members.
- Embed LEAN principles and TWI (Training Within Industry) in daily operations to enhance efficiency.
- Represent the terminal in meetings with customers, government authorities, and high-level visitors when required.
Requirements
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in container terminal operations is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of HSSE standards and compliance requirements.

3.) Control Room Lead
Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
The Role
- The Control Room Lead plays a pivotal role in coordinating all control room operations during a shift, ensuring safety, productivity, and efficiency standards are met.
- This position requires strong leadership and problem-solving skills to manage real-time operational challenges and maintain seamless flow across quay, yard, and gate activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational direction for the Flow Control Room, ensuring adherence to safety and efficiency standards.
- Supervise control room staff in preparing vessel load and work plans, supporting planning managers and coordinators.
- Monitor and coordinate container discharge and load operations for maximum efficiency.
- Ensure smooth communication between control room and execution teams, maintaining strict compliance with communication protocols.
- Anticipate operational stages to prevent flow disruptions and intervene when necessary.
- Lead deviation management, investigations, and intervention activities.
- Promote discipline, fairness, and transparency within the control room team.
- Embed LEAN principles and TWI practices into daily operations, driving continuous improvement.
- Assess skills matrix for control room roles and coordinate training plans.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, including shipping lines and agents.
