We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:
1.) Reciprocating Equipment Specialist Engineer
Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Contract
About the Role
- The Reciprocating Equipment Specialist Engineer will oversee all activities relating to reciprocating machines (gas compressors, diesel/gas engines, generators etc) for JV Assets.
- The role requires both technical leaderships including supervisor work at site and administrative management, ensuring alignment with company referential and industry standards.
The incumbent will interact with:
- Maintenance and Operations teams (onshore & offshore)
- Support Services (Contracts & Procurement, Logistics, ECP, PAR, Finance etc)
- Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and technical service providers
- External contractors, vendors, and JV partners
The incumbent is required to:
- Lead preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance of reciprocating machines across onshore and offshore facilities.
- Perform complete engine teardown and rebuilds on diesel and gas generators
- Diagnose and resolve complex failures, ensuring timely mobilization of OEM field service engineers when required.
- Perform minor, major overhaul, repair and commissioning activities of combustion engine at site without OEM FSR
- Review and approve technical specifications, repair procedures, and modifications.
- Lead and supervise service team working on engines either for preventive or corrective operation, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
- Perform QAQC follow up of equipment refurbished at specialized workshop
- Ensure compliance with international standards and company rules in design, overhaul, and certification of reciprocating equipment.
- Validate spare parts lists, critical stock levels, and obsolescence management.
- Analyze equipment reliability, availability, and performance data, recommending improvements for cost and efficiency optimization.
- Support audits, inspections, and HSE compliance on equipment-related activities.
- Generate root cause analysis, technical service reports on work executed
- Administrative Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and manage Scopes of Work for contractors, including technical evaluation of bids.
- Oversee specialized service providers.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal management and external partner review.
- Ensure strict compliance with procurement ethics, documentation, and reporting standards.
- Coach and mentor junior engineers, supervisors, and contractors to build technical capacity.
- Ensure proper use of CMMS (UNISUP or equivalent) for planning, execution, and close-out of maintenance activities.
- Support other duties as assigned by Company.
Requirements
Education:
-
Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
Experience:
-
Proven 10 years of professional experience doing major overhaul on reciprocating equipment on industrial engine from Caterpillar, Wartsila, Perkins, Cummins etc.
Technical Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of reciprocating machines (gas generators, diesel generators, gas compressors, etc)
- Strong understanding of reciprocating machines design philosophy, maintenance, and certifications
- Strong understanding of oil and petrochemical industries standards relating to reciprocating machines
- High-level proficiency in Diesel engine troubleshooting using OEM diagnostic software and tool for calibration, fault finding and engine adjustment.
- Proven ability to rebuild industrial diesel or gas engine independently.
Skills:
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality results under pressure
- Strong organizational and team management capabilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
Certificate:
- Valid BOSIET OPITO approved
- Valid Medical certificate that state fitness to work in offshore and onshore oil and gas installation.
2.) Civil Works Site Supervisor
Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Contract
About the Role
- Ensure that civil works are safely executed to the required project drawings and specifications.
- Ensure project QA/QC (quality assurance and quality control) measures are met.
- Ensure that materials for construction are of the required quality.
- Review and inspect concrete mix designs for concrete trial mixes.
- Assist in developing checklist for site works and laboratory testing activities.
- Review of contractor's project deliverables e.g. ITP, Work Method Statement, QA/QC Plan, etc.
- Perform site and laboratory inspection/supervision for concrete cube preparation and workability test.
- Perform site and laboratory inspection/supervision for classification and strength test for road subgrade, sub-base and base material.
- Verify calibration status of third-party laboratory testing devices and equipment.
- Assist in developing concrete track register for all concrete compressive strength tests results.
- Report Non conformances (NCR) to job standard and specifications and ensure any observed NCR reports are promptly closed out.
- Compile punchlist items and ensure prompt close out before final hand over of facility to asset owner.
- Verify that necessary documentation are completed before site mobilization.
- Ensure that valid PTW is available and validated for the job daily.
- Verify contractor's equipment mobilized to site are those premobbed before use on silo
- Prepare daily report of the project status with details of personnel, material and equipment on site.
- Review/updating of WBS in line with work progress.
- Analyze data/information generated on completed projects as a basis for improvement on future jobs
Requirements
- Engineering background with a minimum of 5 years' experience in construction of Oil & Gas installations.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
3.) Electrical / Instrumentation Supervisor

About the Role
- Carries out preliminary, basic and detailed facilities engineering studies / design in-house.
- Reads and interprets engineering drawings, specs and make necessary modifications or recommendations.
- Interfaces with Procurement Dept., Project & Construction Sections for engineering related issues.
- Draw up and cross-check relevant procedures, international standards and COMPANY General Specifications.
- Follows-up Purchase Orders to ensure timely approval, conformity of design & participates in technical reviews and Inspection of E&I materials.
- Follow-up on Engineering and Construction activities.
- Pre-mob inspection of E&I materials and equipment.
- Site supervision of E&I installation works.
- Ensure effective and timely response to technical queries in compliance with set standards, company specifications and safety procedures.
Requirements
- B.Sc. / B.Eng / HND in Electrical / Electronics Engineering with 5-7 years experience in an Engineering or facility Construction Organization.
- Use of Intools,Aveva Electrical & Instrumentation, Powertools, Ms Word, Ms Excel is required. Working knowledge of ISA codes, IEC standards and most common international standards.
- Knowledge of Autocad is an advantage.
4.) Lead, Inspection Engineer (AKPO)

About the Role
The Job holder,
- Is responsible of the site implementation of the yearly inspection programs related to equipment covered by the GS-OT-MIT-511
- To ensure the physical integrity of the asset
- Is responsible to organize & supervise the offshore Painting and Inspection activities involving permanent and ad hoc personnel: to ensure that they are implemented in full compliance with relevant Inspection Policy, Inspection Plan, Procedures, and HSE Standards
- Supervise the site activities of the offshore Inspection team (core crew and campaign teams), Corrosion under Support team and the painting team assigned to the integrity management of the asset.
- Collaborate with the DW Corrosion Engineer to conduct period audit of Painting activities on site in order to ensure a good QA/QC of the process
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of specialist contractors mobilized for specific inspection activities to ensure timely completion and efficient reporting
- Trigger Ad Hoc unplanned Inspection activities related to any special event affecting any equipment covered by the GS-OT-MIT-511
- Bring to the attention of site management the status of plant equipment in relation to the Plant Integrity policy & GS-OT-MIT-511 which may affect the asset integrity with an impact on safety and the environment
- Report to the OIM the status/implementation of planned inspection programs and ad-hoc inspections with relevant findings
- He is a key inspection element in the integrity management of AKPO and fill the role of leadership for follow up of the Integrity corrective notification
- Maintain the Register of site temporary repair affecting equipment covered by the GS-OT-MIT-511
- Maintain the Asset Register of any equipment covered by the GS-OT-MIT-511 and periodically reconcile the registers with onshore registers
- Drive Inspection activities onsite and CLASS Society visits related to the classification (both HULL and Machinery) of the FPSO according to BV Class Rules
- Ensure that the inspection activities are managed following the UNISOL/SAP Inspection Solution and all site inspection aspects of Inspection cycle are well managed
- Validate all qualitative and quantitative site inspection results & recommendations before transmission to onshore and final upload in UNISUP/SAP
- Report to the Onshore Inspection team for all technical issues and provide technical support to onshore RBI Fame NEO engineer related to data collection & inspection findings
- Be the site focal point for all Site Inspection activities including subsea, Topside, Corrosion monitoring, Lifting equipment campaign, etc
- Ensure that the site corrosion monitoring of Electrical Resistance, Cathodic protection are performed as planned and issue periodic reports
- Inform onshore inspection support of any change to be done in the inspection plan to improve the efficiency and effectiveness
- Be responsible for the site implementation of the yearly painting program
- Provide technical assistance for the certification of equipment on AKPO - Lifting equipment, cranes, PSV’s, Gas cylinders etc
- Establish close working relations with other Field Operations staff including Marine, HSE, and Production in relation to the implementation of Inspection programs on AKPO
- Provides technical assistance and support to the various site users about corrosion control, welding techniques, and other technical matters in accordance with own field of experience
Requirements
- BSc or equivalent with minimum of 10 years of experience in inspection operational activities in oil and gas industries, including 3 years in a supervisory position.
- Good knowledge of NDT testing techniques and oilfields international standards - API 510, API 570 etc
- Experience in Corrosion mechanisms and monitoring techniques applied in oil/gas industry
- Knowledge of Cathodic protection, Lifting equipment inspection, pressure vessel, piping, structure, pressure
- Relieving devices
- Knowledge in construction, metallurgy, quality control in welding
- Knowledge of hull and machinery marine classified items · Trained on UNISUP/SAP / COMPANY Inspection Solution and Basic knowledge of COMPANY FAME + RBI
- Good spoken and written knowledge of English language
