We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Head, Investment

Job Location: Lagos 
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Responsibilities
Business Advisory and Stakeholder Management:

  • Provide advisory services to the Board, Executive Management, and other stakeholders on best-fit strategies, operational plan, working capital requirements, and liquidity management, by leveraging on own deep expertise in strategy, and knowledge of key environmental trends, internal dynamics/resources and operating environment.
  • Build valued relationships with stakeholders at the strategic level, and assemble coalitions, to support long term business development.

Foreign Currency and Market Risk Management:

  • Develop strategy, policies, and tools to support the ongoing management of foreign exchange risk, liquidity and interest rate risks with the aim of mitigating the effects of volatility and unpredicted movement in market valuations (e.g. foreign currencies, interest rate).
  • Manage the company’s foreign currency activities through the identification of FCY surpluses and deficits, and maintain oversight over active management of FCY windows, administration of FCY inflows into the company, and handling of overseas remittances either on behalf of the company. Working Capital Management.
  • Define and manage the company’s strategy and processes for projecting, monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing its cash-flow, assets and liabilities through ratio analysis of operating expenses (e.g. working capital ratio, collection ratio), with the aim of ensuring the company is capable of continuing operations, and satisfying short-term debt, and upcoming operational expenses.
  • Proactively engage various functions across the Company in respect to their capital/operating expenditure to determine periodic forecasts on working capital, provide cashflow forecast /position to Executive Management, and propose solutions where required.

Working Capital Management

  • Define and manage the company’s strategy and processes for projecting, monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing its cash-flow, assets and liabilities through ratio analysis of operating expenses (e.g. working capital ratio, collection ratio), with the aim of ensuring the company is capable of continuing operations, and satisfying short-term debt, and upcoming operational expenses.
  • Proactively engage various functions across the Company in respect to their capital/operating expenditure to determine periodic forecasts on working capital, provide cashflow forecast /position to Executive Management, and propose solutions where required.
  • Transactional Treasury Processes:Implement company’s policy on capital structure by ensuring an appropriate distribution between debt and equity to minimize cost of funds (CoF) and maintain CoF within the Company’s prescribed band. Manage Relationships with Financial Institutions.
  • Manage the organization’s relationships with other financial institutions (i.e. banks, fund custodians, trustees etc.), by negotiating favorable investment terms on behalf of the organization, escalating potential settlement failures to the Treasurers of other financial institutions to avoid unwanted outcomes, and managing the organization’s relationship with its designated banks.

What we are looking for
Educational Qualification and Work Experience:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
  • 8 - 10 years of relevant experience within a financial services company.
  • Advanced business degree (preferably an MBA) is an added advantage.
  • Relevant experience in insurance will be a huge advantage.
  • Professional certification in finance and/or accounting from a recognized professional body (e.g. CFA, CGMA,ACCA, ICAN etc.)

2.) Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive test strategies, plans, and detailed test cases for new features and existing system enhancements, ensuring full coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Analyze and review business requirements, user stories, and technical design documents to identify potential issues early and provide actionable feedback for improvements.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using appropriate tools working collaboratively with development teams to ensure timely triage, resolution, and verification of defects.
  • Perform rigorous manual and automated functional, regression, usability, and performance testing across platforms to validate that applications meet business needs.
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to increase testing efficiency, speed, and reliability, particularly for regression and performance tests.
  • Prepare detailed QA reports highlighting quality indicators, test results, defect trends, and areas for improvement. Monitor key metrics such as defect density and test coverage.
  • Partner closely with developers, product managers, DevOps, and IT teams to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery throughout all phases of product development.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance QA processes, tools, and methodologies to optimize testing efforts and drive process maturity.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to understand technical and business requirements, ensuring they are well-defined and testable.
  • Analyze failed test results, investigate root causes, and provide insights to reduce recurring issues and improve overall system reliability.

Key Requirements
Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related technical discipline.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in software quality assurance or software testing.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC), with emphasis on how testing integrates within Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks and tools including but not limited to: Selenium, Postman, Appium, Jenkins, and Git.
  • Experience in writing SQL queries and using scripting languages for test automation or data validation.
  • Solid knowledge of testing methodologies, best practices, and the ability to apply them across various application types (web, mobile, API).
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

3.) Head, Actuarial Services

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyse and evaluate which insurance products and services could meet complex client needs.
  • Monitor the operation of delegated authority agreements, binding authorities and/or scheme. arrangements to ensure that organisational underwriting procedures and policy wordings are being followed.
  • Monitor and guide actuarial performances against prescribed objectives and plans.
  • Oversee processes of determining required premium rates, cash reserves and liabilities.
  • Apply statistical analysis and predictive modeling to support development of rates, rating plans, pricing and portfolio management.
  • Provide actuarial services according to the requirements of assigned business lines.
  • Extract relevant data and applies appropriate statistical modelling techniques to produce valid initial analysis to achieve the intended objectives based on appropriate assumptions and rationale.
  • Reviews analysis of loss experience and trends.
  • Work with relevant units, e.g. underwriters, claims personnel, to plan for new lines of business or improve existing business.
  • Monitor estimates produced and used by the team in product development and pricing.
  • Review assumptions and methodology used in actuarial models.
  • Review mortality and surrender risk calculation to ensure accuracy.
  • Guide team members on actuarial matters.
  • Provide professional advice to support corporate development by analyzing actuarial performances. to effectively determine corporate development directions.
  • Monitor and review operational plans and procedures for compliance.

Education and Work Experience

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance or Actuarial Sciences discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience.
  • Possession of relevant Professional certifications is an advantage.
  • Master’s Degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of five (5) core actuarial exam passes is required.

  • Ability to apply the principles of insurance to complex, unfamiliar situations.
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of how a range of situations may be affected by the principles of insurance.
  • Ability to interpret relevant regulations, standards, and codes of practice relevant to the business.
  • Knowledge of IFRS17 and experience in IFRS17 implementation.
  • Ability to demonstrate a detailed understanding of complex policy wordings, extensions and/or limitations and their interpretation and application.
  • Knowledge and ability to implement compliance procedures and controls.
  • Ability to manage large workloads and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical / actuarial concepts and techniques.
  • Ability to use actuarial statistical software applications.
  • Excellent relationship management skills, able to forge strong commercial relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
