We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Operations Manager - Expatriate (Furniture Manufacturing)

Job Location: Ilupeju, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: Managing Director

Task Complexities

  • Oversee the day-to-day efficient and optimal management of the Operational arm of the organization.
  • Supervise, direct and manage the Operations team- Production, Upholstery, Spraying, Procurement, Delivery and Installation.
  • Monitor the progress of procurement, production, delivery and logistics and installation, confirming that they stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Supervise procurement processes of ordering and purchasing of materials, ensuring that inventory levels are maintained.
  • Visit project and/or clients’ sites, monitoring progress of installations and correction or rectification of snag, where necessary
  • Determine quality control standards and ensure that items received and final products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Recommend changes in workflow and operations to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Identify, investigate, evaluate, analyze and resolve issues arising from or relating to operational matters.
  • Work with Production Supervisors to analyze job orders and schedule installations upon completion of production, ensuring cost-effective, high quality and timely delivery of products.
  • Estimating, negotiating and agreeing on budgets and timelines with Production staff and Installation teams.
  • Plan and organize production operations and installation schedules, in order of approved priority list.
  • Onboard new installers and negotiate installation fees in line with allocated budget.
  • Establish workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product quality
  • Give regular reports to Management and other stakeholder on status of operational matters.

Education & Experience

  • B.Sc in Engineering, Architecture, Wood Technology or other related field
  • 8-10 years of previous work experience in a similar role within a furniture manufacturing company
  • Candidate must be an expatriate.

2.) Internal Control Officer

Job Location: Ilupeju, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: MD/CEO and Board of Directors
Category of Employee: Mid-Management

Key Summary of the Job

  • The Internal Control Officer will be responsible for Implementing, monitoring and measuring the adequacy of control systems in the company, in compliance with regulations and internal control framework, increasing operational efficiency by detecting and eliminating fraud and business risks.
  • He/She will also be responsible for evaluating and improving our internal control systems and work closely with various departments to ensure compliance with policies and procedures and identify opportunities for process optimization.

Task Complexities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal audit policies and procedures in accordance with local and international best practices.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews and assessments of internal control processes.
  • Identify and reduce all business and financial risks through effective implementation and monitoring of controls, recommending improvements to strengthen internal controls.
  • Monitor compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of internal control processes and testing results.
  • Prepare periodic reports for Management and Board of Directors, detailing control deficiencies and recommended actions.
  • Conduct ad hoc investigations into identified or reported risks.
  • Oversee risk-based audits covering operational and financial processes.
  • Develop and implement control testing procedures to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Collaborate with departments to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Implement best practices for internal controls and risk management.
  • Ensure complete, accurate, and timely audit information is reported to Management
  • Provide training and support to employees on internal control policies and procedures.

Required Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 6 - 8 years of previous experience in a similar role within a Manufacturing/Retail entity
  • ICAN or ACCA Qualification is an added advantage
  • Strong Analytical Skills, Finance, and Internal Controls knowledge
  • Excellent Communication and Auditing skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems.

3.) Technical Officer (Furniture Manufacturing)

Job Location: Ilupeju, Lagos

Reporting Line: Head, Commercial & Projects

Key Summary of the Job

  • Produce detailed working/production drawings and specifications.
  • Co-ordinate project planning and material breakdown.
  • Visit projects and clients' sites to take accurate dimensions.
  • Prepare cutting list and accessories list for production and installation.
  • Analyze furniture pieces to ascertain production requirements.
  • Plan, schedule and monitor installation progress.

  • Engage with production team all through the process of manufacturing and installation of furniture and fittings.
  • Evaluate and resolve issues relating to materialsrequisition for projects and retail orders.
  • Evaluate and plan rectification of all snags and errors.
  • Ensure work is performed as planned and to specification by adhering with the company quality assurance manual.

Education & Experience

  • A Degree in Architecture or Engineering.
  • 4-5 years of relevant work experience in a furniture manufacturing company.
