1.)Team Lead, Brand Marketing and Media Specialist

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary


  • Team Lead, Brand Marketing and Media Specialist will oversee development and implementation of e NGX brand marketing and media strategies. In this role, individual is responsible for designing and executing brand and strategic marketing programmess/campaigns and providing strong leadership on media.
  • He/she will drive success of “The Exchange’s” brand promise and ensure a high brand prominence in the marketplace by producing and placing adverts and promotional materials on traditional and digital platforms.
  • in addition, Team Lead, Brand Marketing will relate and liaise closely with other strategic business areas to ensure Nigerian Exchange products and services are implemented through sales enablement and marketing demand generation programmes.

Responsibilities
Brand Marketing:

  • Manage all aspects of the brand, internally and externally, throughout the supply chain for both tangible and intangible assets.
  • Analyse the brand’s current strategy highlighting areas of weaknesses or conflicting messages.
  • Create a brand plan and brand strategy and ensuring all aspects of the product or companies marketing and activities align with ethos and goals of the brand.
  • Create an enduring brand message that results in brand loyalty and improving market share.
  • Develope and sustain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders for successful completion of marketing communications programmes.
  • Plan and execute “Through The Line” (TTL) marketing campaigns to support ambitions of the Nigerian Exchange to achieve pre-set KPIs.
  • Manage external agencies and ensuring marketing spend is within budget.
  • Seek out new marketing opportunities that fit with the brand as well as maximise all opportunities for growth.
  • Monitor application of NGX brand elements for consistency across all touch points.
  • Champion the brand internally, making sure employees understand the brand and its goals by developing and executing a brand internalisation strategy.
  • Develop, review and update the brand standards and usage guidelines (streamlining inconsistencies in the application of icons – colours, logo, architectural branding, signage etc.).
  • Identify, execute and manage brand research (brand audit, brand tracking & brand health checks etc) to evaluate brand performance (TOMA, SOV, Advertising Spend VS Competition, Consumer perception).
  • Improve usability, design, content and conversion of digital properties (website, social media platforms etc.).
  • Handle production of digital marketing materials – photography, videos, animations, audio, slideshows, QR codes, wallpapers, screensavers and other multimedia items.
  • Drive engagement with the company’s approved social media platforms.
  • Design and execute Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Pay Per Click (PPC) strategies.

Media, Publications & Internal Engagement:

  • Initiate, promote and encourage effective internal and external communications strategies and practices across “The Exchange”.
  • Manage proactive and reactive media relations to obtain and shape news coverage of the organisation.
  • Coordinate & prepare internal subject matter experts to act as the organisation’s spokespeople in response to media requests.
  • Work closely with Executives to ensure messaging is projected to organisational standards through all possible resources.
  • Monitor and analyse reportage on NGX across multiple media platforms and advise intervention measures as required.
  • Responsible for Crisis Communication Plan; updates and management of crisis communications preparedness & activity for the Group.
  • Produce periodic internal communications to promote NGX ethos and culture whilst fostering understanding of its business and strategy.
  • Propose internal engagement programmes that promote brand loyalty amongst employees.
  • Oversee planning, coordination and execution of news conferences and other media events.
  • Lead creation, editorial planning, content development, layout and production of internal and external newsletters such as x-Files, The Bull, Indicator, etc.
  • Oversee research and development of news releases, articles, editorials, factsheets, publications and other written communications materials.
  • Write and coordinate speeches, briefing notes, and media articles for internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain a robust database of journalists, analysts, researchers across multiple sectors that can assist in projecting the NGX Story.
  • Handling media planning, buying, scheduling and monitoring to enhance the Nigerian Exchange brand.
  • Advise Head Marketing & Corporate Communications on media, publications and internal engagement that can significantly aid attainment of company’s objective.

Person Specification & Required Qualification(s)

  • B.Sc Degree / HND in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field;
  • Membership of a related professional body is an advantage;
  • Minimum of 7 years of cognate experience in a supervisory role, preferably in Advertising, Brand & Marketing Communication, Media and or FMCG brands with a proven track record of success;
  • Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills;
  • Proficiency in web building/content management software (WordPress, MS SharePoint) and web authoring language (HTML) preferred;
  • Proficiency in website, social media monitoring and management tool (Google Analytics GA4, Whatagraph, Hootsuite, Tweet Deck, Facebook Insight, Twitter Analytics etc.);
  • Professional qualification/certification is an advantage (Project Management, Product Management and Marketing, Digital Marketing, Marketing and Brand Management etc.);
  • Basic graphic manipulation skills (Photoshop, CorelDRAW etc.);
  • Strong media experience;
  • Previous editorial post for publications or writing is an advantage.

2.) Corporate Strategist and Integration Specialist

Job Location: Lagos

Job Summary
We seek an individual with experience in Financial Analysis, Project Management, Relationship Management, Financial Modelling, and an ability to collaborate with operating divisions to drive strategic analysis and decisions, amongst other areas listed:

  • He/She will develop organic strategic initiatives that supports key business drivers at the Nigerian Exchange Group;
  • He/She will implement key external development opportunities, including partnerships, acquisitions, and divestitures;
  • The Corporate Strategist and Integration Specialist will report to the Group Chief Strategy Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic planning and execution of corporate strategy;
  • Lead implementation of initiatives that support enterprise’s vision and direction;
  • Develop and oversee initiatives that build corporate capabilities, e.g., Environmental Scanning, Industry Benchmarking, and Functional Planning;
  • Identify investment opportunities and potential acquisition candidates as well as perform financial valuations and due diligence on potential opportunities and acquisitions;
  • Develop financial models to evaluate business opportunities;
  • Support development of corporate publications, e.g., Annual Reports, Annual Market Reviews, etc;
  • Participate in planning and brainstorming sessions for new business initiatives;
  • Develop business plans for new opportunities;
  • Present data analysis and research findings to senior and executive management.
  • Manage relationships with international trade associations;
  • Update strategy policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOP) regularly;
  • Conduct regular research and liaise with professionals across various industries to ensure best practices for strategy are practised in the organisation.

Person Specification & Required Qualifications

  • B.Sc. / HND Degree in Finance, Economics, or any other quantitative discipline;
  • An MBA or any other relevant degree is an added advantage;
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of cognate experience is required, with at least 2-4 years’ experience in a middle management position, in Investment Banking, or a top-tier management consulting firm;
  • Expertise in the Nigerian, US, EU, or UK financial services sectors;
  • Proven ability to effectively synthesize and communicate complex business issues;
  • Proven track record of strong performance, measured against KPIs;
  • Experience in the financial services industry is highly desirable, ideally with a Financial Institution Group (FIG);
  • Significant financial and strategic analysis experience;
  • Fluency with Financial Modelling and presentation (PowerPoint);
  • Superior problem-solving abilities; Project Management, teamwork, and quantitative aptitude;
  • Ability to build trust and work respectfully with team members and other colleagues.
  • Experience in the Capital Market industry or a Management Consulting firm is an advantage
