Job Brief


  • Reporting to the Head of Chambers, you will provide legal representation to corporations, advise clients on a broad range of corporate issues and represent them in litigation, transactions, and regulatory compliance.
  • You will work in a variety of environments, ranging from small, entrepreneurial corporations to large corporations. In addition, you will advise and resolve complex legal and business issues.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Negotiate and draft contracts, leases, and other documents
  • Promote and enforce company policies
  • Develop and oversee litigation and dispute resolution strategies
  • Manage outside counsel
  • Represent the company in court or before administrative agencies
  • Develop and submit reports to senior management
  • Prepare, review, and monitor basic corporate contracts and agreements
  • Manage litigation and other legal claims
  • Advise management on relevant legal matters
  • Manage corporate legal matters, including forming, maintaining, and dissolving entities and legal contracts, and resolving disputes
  • Perform initial screenings of documents to determine legal effect and significance
  • Evaluate and manage risk presented by new contracts
  • Manage legal staffing to achieve business goals
  • Advise management team on legal needs and prepare legal briefs
  • Represent the firm at law conferences and legal seminars
  • Develop new legal products
  • Serve as legal advisor to business units
  • Perform or oversee negotiations and drafting of contracts
  • Attend meetings and depositions, such as arbitrations and trials
  • Prepare and review contracts, budgets, and reports
  • Develop new legal approaches
  • Maintain awareness of new legal developments and changes in regulations

Requirements and Skills

  • Candidates should possess an LL.B
  • 2+ years experience in a law practice
  • Knowledge of general business law and procedures
  • Knowledge of state and municipal
