Job Position: Logistics Officer (Fleet & Transport Operations)


Job Locations: Abeokuta - Ogun, Osogbo - Osun and Ibadan - Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The Logistics Officer will coordinate the day-to-day transport activities, monitor vehicle movements, optimize routes, and ensure timely delivery.
  • The role requires strong planning skills, knowledge of transport/logistics processes, and the ability to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and oversee daily fleet movements and transport assignments.
  • Ensure efficient use of trucks and drivers to minimize cost and downtime.
  • Monitor CNG trucks and vehicles in real-time, ensuring compliance with route plans.
  • Track deliveries and report on turnaround times, delays, or incidents.
  • Coordinate with workshop and service teams to align transport schedules with maintenance needs.
  • Maintain records of trips, fuel usage, driver performance, and service history.
  • Liaise with contractors, vendors, and internal teams for smooth logistics operations.
  • Assist in route planning to optimize fuel consumption and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, HSE regulations, and transport laws.
  • Prepare and submit periodic logistics and fleet performance reports.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in logistics, transport coordination, or fleet operations.
  • Knowledge of CNG-powered trucks or alternative fuel fleets is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and logistics/fleet management systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
