Job Position: Logistics Officer / Warehouse Manager

Job Location: Makurdi, Benue

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary


  • The Logistics Officer / Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, inventory control, product movement, dispatch planning, and delivery coordination to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment while maintaining optimal stock levels and proper warehouse organization.

Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Inventory Management:

  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock.
  • Ensure proper storage and stacking of lubricants in line with safety standards.
  • Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Carry out periodic physical stock counts and reconciliation.
  • Prevent stock loss, damage, or expiry.

Logistics & Distribution:

  • Plan and coordinate daily deliveries to customers and sub-distributors.
  • Schedule and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Prepare waybills, delivery notes, and dispatch documentation.
  • Liaise with drivers and transporters for efficient distribution.
  • Monitor delivery performance and resolve logistics issues promptly.

Operations & Compliance:

  • Coordination & Support
  • Work closely with the sales team to fulfill orders efficiently.
  • Support management with stock planning and replenishment.
  • Supervise warehouse assistants and loaders (where applicable).

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Stock accuracy rate
  • On-time delivery rate
  • Order fulfillment time
  • Inventory loss/damage rate
  • Warehouse organization & compliance level.

Key Requirements

  • HND/B.Sc. in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in warehouse/logistics operations (FMCG, oil & gas, or lubricant distribution is an advantage).
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and stock reconciliation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory software.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
