We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Position: Multimedia Journalist
Job Locations: Adamawa, Borno, Jigawa, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, Yobe and Zamfara
Employment Type: Full-time
Role
- The candidate will produce stories about issues in northern Nigeria in multimedia format.
- A particular area of focus is interviewing and telling the stories of people who have been victims of insecurity and repressive cultural, religious and traditional practices like child marriage, girl shaming, the almajiri system, betrothal, and others.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / MA with 3 - 5 years of experience.
- The candidate must be able to tell stories in video, text, and pictures and have been doing it as a journalist for at least three years.
- The candidate must be based in northern Nigeria and understands northern Nigeria, its cultures, traditions, conservative nature, and practices.
- The ideal candidate must have an open mind to investigate issues without bias and be open to learning and growing.
