Job Description

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Compounding and dispensing medications, following physicians' prescriptions.
  • Monitoring customers' drug therapies, providing advice on interventions, and informing customers of potential side effects.
  • Efficiently managing pharmacy inventory and conducting regular stocktaking procedures.
  • Completing operational requirements of the pharmacy, including verifying order entries, maintaining records of controlled substances, and promptly removing expired or damaged drugs from the inventory.
  • Instructing customers on the proper administration of prescribed medications.
  • Conducting health and wellness screenings, including blood pressure checks, temperature measurements, and blood sugar level monitoring.
  • Maintaining accurate customer records for a seamless and organized pharmacy operation.
  • Ensuring a safe and hygienic working environment for both staff and customers.
  • Strictly adhering to all applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures governing pharmaceutical practice.

Requirements / Qualifications
To be considered for the position of Pharmacist, candidates should meet the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in a community pharmacy setting.
  • Proven experience as a community pharmacist, demonstrating a strong commitment to patient care.
  • Excellent organizational skills to maintain an efficient and organized pharmacy environment.
  • Strong operations and supervisory skills to lead and guide the pharmacy team effectively.
  • A comprehensive understanding and knowledge of dosage requirements and administration, chemical compounds, and pharmaceutical brands.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and software applications commonly employed in pharmacies.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for clear and professional interactions with customers and colleagues.

Salary
N200,000 Monthly.
