Responsiblities

  • Work with engineers and designers on projects including scoping, studies, engineering, calculations, details, take-offs, and documentation. Provide support during construction and commissioning.
  • Provide engineering support to meet client needs and incorporate suggestions for future requirements efficiently. Attend client meetings, including onsite. Correspond directly with clients.
  • Identify recruitment needs and manage hiring, orientation, and onboarding.
  • Design with safety, constructability, and sustainability in mind. Ensure codes, regulations, and guidelines are met through periodic review.
  • Review and develop piping standards and technical framework.
  • Supervise and approve construction activities. Coordinate inspections, submissions, drawings, and documentation.
  • Regularly interface with other teams to execute projects, develop resource plans, identify staffing issues, and properly staff projects.
  • Organize, lead, and develop teams for success administratively and technically. Support team career development including performance management. Communicate expectations and measure performance. Coach, train, and mentor team members across offices.
  • Implement standardized construction processes, procedures, manuals and systems. Execute control systems for each activity.
  • Organize, coordinate, and supervise construction activities on schedule and budget. Resolve issues through discussion.
  • Assist Warehouse with inspections and maintenance.
  • Handle all Mechanical Construction activities including investigations, surveys, etc.
  • Work closely with other Construction Supervisors.
  • Report on site issues, events, progress, trends, and recommendations.
  • Manage required deliverables including scopes, isometrics, plans, lists, photos, and bills of materials.
  • Coordinate with client and construction to ensure requirements are addressed consistently.
