Role Overview

• We are looking for a Press Manager that will oversee all printing press operations, ensuring high-quality output, machine efficiency, and adherence to production schedules.
• The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in printing processes, proven leadership ability, and hands-on experience in paper packaging production.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of flexographic and/or offset printing presses.
• Plan and execute production schedules in alignment with demand and delivery timelines.
• Ensure optimal machine utilization and minimize downtime.
• Monitor productivity, efficiency, and material wastage.
• Ensure all printed materials meet brand standards and food-grade packaging requirements.
• Ensure that all materials needed for production are available.
• Monitor color consistency, print registration, and finishing quality.
• Implement and enforce quality control systems and corrective measures.
• Supervise, train, and mentor press operators and support staff.
• Allocate manpower effectively across shifts.
• Maintain discipline, accountability, and a high-performance culture.
• Monitor ink, paper, plates, and consumable usage.
• Drive waste reduction initiatives and improve overall equipment efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and manage breakdown response.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe press environment.
• Manage order processes from start to finish.
• Ensure timely delievery of quality products.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Printing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 3 years of experience in printing operations, preferably within paper or FMCG packaging.
• Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Strong knowledge of flexographic and/or offset printing processes.
• Experience with QSR or food-grade packaging production is an added advantage.

Salary Budget
N200,000 - N250,000 / Month.
