Role Context


  • The Production Services Manager oversees utilities generation and distribution to the brewery and also sustain brewing activities by ensuring machine availability at all times and without operational defect from silo to brewhouse to process area and through filter room.
  • This must be such that all quality parameters regarding machine operation, waste, TRT are within specified standard through my associates and reports to the Engineering Manager

Purpose of the Role

  • To support both packaging and brewing operations by making available utilities and the machines for production activities within the program time to meet the planned output at the right quality.

Leadership Standards:

  • To lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team to maintain, modify, overhaul and replace if necessary brewing and utilities generation equipment.
  • To give engineering support to the brewing team to achieve the planned hectolitre of beer for the year.

Top Accountabilities

  • To maintain all the assets in Engineering and Brewing department and ensure their availability for production use.
  • To ensure spare availability and judicious use of the engineering budget.
  • To keep a team of competence, motivated and well-trained engineering personnel.
  • Overhaul / upgrade existing plant to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Implementation of site maintenance strategy

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Bachelors of science degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering plus minimum of 5 years relevant maintenance experience.
