Fallon and Ash Automated Shading Solutions is a shading and security solutions specialist located in Lagos, Nigeria. We offer a premium service supplying manual and motorized blinds, curtains, shutters, garage doors, and awnings to clients in and around Lagos. We work with manufacturers locally and internationally to give our clients an extensive range of high-quality products.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Project Officer
Job Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: the CEO or Projects Team Lead

The Role


  • The F&A Projects Team is growing and we are looking for a skilled, experienced, and hard-working individual to join the team.
  • You will be responsible for running client projects through the entire project lifecycle - from handling enquiries to product installation.
  • We are a small team; hence, you may be required to take on some cross-functional responsibilities in administration to support the smooth running of the organisation.
  • This is a paid full-time role and you will report to the CEO or Projects Team Lead.
  • The ideal candidate will be numerate and have excellent communication skills - written, verbal and presentation.
  • You must be organised, detail-oriented, with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • You should be a quick learner, proactive, trustworthy and able to work within set deadlines.
  • You must be competent in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite.

Environment and Culture:

  • Our office is in Dolphin Estate, Ikoyi. Please make sure that this is a practical/feasible daily commute before you apply.
  • Normal work hours are 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday. However, you may be required to work outside these hours when necessary to meet important deadlines.

Key Responsibilities of the Role
Typical responsibilities would involve (but are not limited to):

  • Running client consultations including making product recommendations
  • Maintaining client relationships and managing their expectations
  • Taking accurate measurements at the project site
  • Preparing proposals, priced quotations, invoices and collections
  • Placing orders and liaising with manufacturers and shippers
  • Monitoring and updating project trackers, databases, orders and client accounts
  • Receiving and inspecting orders for completeness, correctness and product quality.
  • Managing installations, installation teams, processes and resources
  • Ensuring project timelines are met and clients are satisfied
  • Identifying new marketing opportunities and avenues for growth
  • Attending trade events
  • Conducting product, market and competitor research

Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree - BA, BSc
  • Three (3) years experience in related roles which demonstrate the capacity to successfully perform the above duties
  • Excellent communication - verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office Excel and Word. PowerPoint is a plus.
  • Basic maths skills - addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percentage and ratio conversions, percentage increase and decrease, proportions, geometry (length, width, depth, area, volume), measurements - mm, cm, m, kg - and their conversions.
  • Strong organisational, analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Good people skills and experience working in a collaborative environment.
