We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: QA / QC Engineer (Mechanical)

Job Location: Ikorodu / Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing quality standards.
• Developing and implementing quality control systems.
• Monitoring and analyzing quality performance.
• Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
• Collaborating with operations managers to develop and implement controls and improvements.
• Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations.
• Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues.
• Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.
• Reviewing codes, specifications, and processes.
• Reviewing documents and ensure it comforms to clients standard
• Organize steel structural activities of delivery, erection, and site modification
• Organize above/underground piping site activities including painting, wrapping, coating, fabrication, welding, erection
• Provide technical reports and assist and preparing management reports
• Checks all project drawings, documentation, calculations, technical evaluations and manpower estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Participate in regular meetings to identify problems, target dates, issues, delays execution of work to ensure timely project completion.
• Prepare, develop and maintain up-to-date quality procedures, documents and method of statement given to client/main contractor.
• Prepare PQR (Procedure Qualification for WPS), qualify welders and prepare welder qualifications and welders ID.
• Review of associated quality control documentation to ensure that equipment and materials are manufactured in accordance with applicable codes, client and project specifications and standards.
• Supervise field inspection activities of manufacturing site construction, welding, NDT examinations and pressure testing and prepare daily inspection reports.
• Prepare Final QA/ QC dossier to submit to the client.

Education & Experience

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor of Engineering with 4 - 11 years of work experience.
