Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the receipt and dispatch of trucks
  • Ensure that all incoming and outgoing trucks are properly inspected for damages and defects
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to truck logistics to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness
  • Record and maintain accurate data related to the trucks, such as their location, condition, and contents
  • Communicate with drivers, warehouse staff, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth truck operations
  • Resolve any issues or problems related to truck receipt and dispatch
  • Monitor truck activity and provide reports and analysis to management
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to truck logistics and safety
  • Liaise with Workshop Supervision, diagnose defects by preliminary examination of vehicle or equipment condition
  • Support installation, commissioning activities, field troubleshooting and upgrade campaigns.
  • Liaise with other departments and manufacturers to ensure truck down time is kept to a minimum.
  • Report warranty problems back to the manufacturing company
  • Carry out inspections of vehicles arriving on site, either for repair (Vehicle condition survey) or brand-new vehicles for delivery

Education

  • Minimum of HND in engineering, logistics, or a related field
  • Relevant and recognised professional certification.

Technical Skills:

  • Understanding of vehicle-related regulations and standards
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards related to truck logistics and safety
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics software
  • Familiarity with different types of vehicles
  • Ability to diagnose vehicle-related issues
  • Proficiency in using vehicle service equipment and tools.

Salary
N280,000 - N300,000 Monthly.
