Job Position: Risk Officer
Job Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Risk officer to join our risk management team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that may impact our financial well-being and reputation.
- The Risk officer will work closely with various departments to ensure that our risk management practices are aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and non-financial risks
- Develop and implement risk management policies, procedures, and frameworks
- Develop and maintain risk models and monitoring tools
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Provide risk training and awareness programs for employees
- Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to senior management
- Collaborate with departments to ensure risk-informed decision-making
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging risks
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Risk Management, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in risk management in a finance company
- Professional certification (e.g., FRM, PRM, CRMP)
- Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and regulations
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Nice to Have:
- Master's degree in Finance, Risk Management, or related field
- Experience with risk management software and systems
- Knowledge of data analytics.
