Job Description

  • We are looking for a Senior Analyst to join our Upstream team in Abuja. Our dedicated oil and gas sector teams are located around the world, delivering research and consulting services based on our assessment and valuation of thousands of individual assets.
  • Together, we work with a range of clients including major energy companies, national oil companies, investment banks and institutional investors.
  • The level of your appointment on the company banding structure will be dependent on your skills, experience and capabilities demonstrated at assessment prior to offer of employment.

About the role

  • As part of a world-class team of oil and gas experts, you will monitor and assess key events and commercial developments across the upstream industry. The role involves gathering and analysing industry data.
  • You will also form opinions on the impact of the energy transition, corporate strategies, business environment, exploration, M&A deals, petroleum economics, government energy policy and regional geopolitics.
  • You will have a keen eye for quality and take pride in the work that you produce.
  • You will support the team in delivering its weekly and quarterly data sets to our clients and will take an active role in ensuring both the quality and timeliness of the data set.
  • You will use this to produce high-quality research in the form of thought-provoking articles, presentations and reports.
  • You will develop a unique perspective and understanding of the oil and gas industry.
  • Over time, you will become adept at valuing oil and gas assets and understand the key issues that inform that valuation.
  • Through your research and responding to client queries, you will develop a network of senior contacts at key companies and bodies.
