Job Description

• The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and managing the Bank’s entire DevOps and cloud infrastructure ecosystem from the ground up.
• This role will establish automation frameworks, deployment pipelines, infrastructure security standards, monitoring systems, and operational reliability required for a modern fintech banking platform.
• The successful candidate will play a foundational role in ensuring platform scalability, system resilience, regulatory readiness, and secure service delivery.

Responsibilities
Infrastructure Architecture & Cloud Engineering:

• Design and deploy scalable cloud-native banking infrastructure.
• Establish production, staging, and development environments.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
• Optimize infrastructure performance and cost efficiency.

CI/CD & Automation:

• Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Enable secure and reliable application deployments.
• Automate provisioning and configuration management.
• Improve release speed and deployment reliability.
• Standardize DevOps operational workflows.

Containerization & Platform Reliability:

• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Maintain orchestration environments for microservices architecture.
• Monitor system uptime, latency, and performance metrics.
• Conduct root cause analysis for production incidents.
• Implement proactive reliability engineering practices.

Security & Compliance (Fintech Environment):

• Implement DevSecOps best practices across environments.
• Secure cloud infrastructure against cyber threats.
• Enforce access control, encryption, and audit logging.
• Support regulatory and security audit readiness.
• Align infrastructure with financial industry standards.

Monitoring & Incident Management:

• Deploy monitoring and alerting systems.
• Establish logging and observability frameworks.
• Manage incident response and recovery procedures.
• Maintain operational documentation and runbooks.
• Ensure minimal service downtime.

Collaboration & Engineering Enablement:

• Work closely with Software Engineering and Product teams.
• Support developers with deployment environments.
• Improve engineering productivity through automation.
• Guide infrastructure best practices across teams.
• Contribute to long-term technology architecture decisions.

Skills and Requirements
Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Relevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP) preferred.
• DevOps or Infrastructure certifications are advantageous.

Experience:

• Minimum 8 years hands-on DevOps or Platform Engineering experience.
• Proven experience building infrastructure from scratch.
• Strong experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
• Hands-on Kubernetes and Docker production deployment experience.
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible).
• Background within fintech, banking, or high-availability platforms preferred.
• Experience supporting mission-critical production systems.
