Zuma 828 Coal Limited, a member of the Eta-Zuma Group, registered on the 14th of January 2010 in accordance with the provisions of the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2004, with its registered address at Plot 26, Sector Centre C, Gudu District Abuja.

The Company was set up for the purpose of the realization of the Groups coal exploration and mining initiatives. Consequently, it has acquired title to 3 coal Mining Leases (9266ML, 9182ML, 9267ML) and in compliance with the provisions of the “Nigerian Minerals and Mining Act 2007” the company has obtained all the necessary approvals (Local Government Area consent and Community Consent) from the areas covering its license areas located in the Okobo Community within Ankpa Local Government area of Kogi State.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of B.Sc / HND. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • COREN/NSE certification (added advantage).

Job Description
The Service Engineer shall take up the following roles:

  • Compiling, implementing and managing a suitable preventive and corrective maintenance plan to ensure optimal availability and utilisation of equipment in line with OEM recommended practice and ZCL standard operational procedure.
  • Directing and performance of maintenance work in installation, repair on mechanical and electrical system.
  • Organizing and undertaking routine checks of equipment as well as carrying out quality inspections.
  • Root cause analysis for failure of components/identifying and investigating faults.
  • Monitoring the performance of machinery and systems.
  • Co-ordinate and organize the routine servicing as, and when required according to OEM specification.
  • To liaise with store department to ensure that servicing parts are available in advance of requirement.
  • Daily reporting and liaising with workshop manager on all breakdown and repair progress.
  • Independently carry out Diagnostic test using ET or with suitable diagnostic tools and prepare a report.
  • Attach On Board diagnostics (OBD) scanner cables to vehicles to conduct emissions inspections.
  • Conduct remote inspections of motor vehicles, using handheld controllers and remotely directed vehicle inspection devices.
  • Perform any other task assigned to him by the workshop manager.
