Job Position: Site Engineer

Job Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Description


  • Management of construction site
  • Ensure that health and safety environment are strictly adhered to on-site
  • Ensure that equipment procedures comply with safety regulation
  • Maintain and interpret drawings, Topographical drawings, construction drawings, Rebar drawings, and Rebar schedules
  • Ensure works are carried out as per the contract drawings and specifications
  • Maintain records, site diary, Quality assurance documentation, Site instruction, review drawings, As-built drawings, and shop drawings
  • Prepare status report, Risk report, and resources/ material report for company use.
  • Making sure the budget, timeline and project are met
  • Solving problems and providing technical advice
  • Liaising with other Engineers, Surveyors, site admin, Foreman, and subcontractors
  • Interpreting drawings and guiding artisans to achieve set goals
  • Checking plans, Quantities, and drawings to ensure accuracy
  • Overseeing the Site Labour force and overall site management
  • Resolving any technical queries and other problems that may crop up
  • Ability to supervise surveyors, interpret surveying data

Responsibilities

  • State-issued certificate or engineering license
  • in-depth knowledge of engineering, technology building, construction, and design
  • Proficient in the use of computer-aided design(CAD)software, with high attention to detail
  • familiar with scientific analysis software as well as graphics and map creation software
  • Proven track record of reporting and situation analysis
  • Exemplary critical thinking, analytical, and complex problem-solving skills
  • Strong time management and project management skills
  • Dedication to learning new concepts and strategies.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree qualification with 2 - 4 years of work experience.
