Job Position: Station Engineer

Job Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Job Summary

• We are seeking to hire a skilled and dedicated Station Engineer to manage and maintain the technical operations of their broadcasting station.
• The ideal role holder will ensure the smooth operation of all transmission and studio equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide engineering support to the production and operations teams.

Job Responsibilities

• Making schedules, planning budgets, and executing all technical aspect of broadcasting
• Supervise technician teams during live broadcasts, video transmissions and post-production.
• Scheduling regular equipment maintenance appointments, overseeing equipment installations and implementing compliance standards.
• Designing and installing audio and visual circuits, hardware and software, and broadcast systems
• Establishing audio and visual links between different units or for outside broadcasts
• Communicating, responding to technical faults and repairing them swiftly
• Designing custom-made electronic solutions to meet the requirements of colleagues and customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, ICT, Physics or related field from any recognized Institution. Advanced Degree and relevant certifications will be added advantage.
• 3–5 years of experience in broadcast or station engineering.
• Strong knowledge of broadcasting industry (in relation to IT, Sound Engineering, Electrical/Electronic, audio and visuals etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality technical standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict timelines.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
