Workforce Planning Manager Job at African Foundries Limited

African Foundries Limited (AFL) was established to support the accelerating growth in Nigeria by making the country self-reliant for steel rebars and eliminating its dependence on imported rebars. AFL is set up to reach a 0.5 million-ton per year capacity for high strength rebars and allied products.

Job Position: Workforce Planning Manager
Job Location: Ikorodu, Lagos

Job Description


  • This is either a full-time on-site role or a contract basis (Depending upon candidate profile) for a Workforce Planning Manager located in Lagos State, Nigeria.
  • The Workforce Planning Manager will be responsible for managing and planning workforce resources, conducting workforce analytics, and ensuring efficient use of workforce management systems.
  • The role involves analyzing current workforce trends, forecasting future workforce needs, and coordinating with various departments to optimize resource allocation and utilization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain short and long-term workforce plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Conduct capacity planning and workload analysis across departments.
  • Forecast future staffing needs based on business growth, attrition, and labor trends.
  • Collaborate with HR and department managers to plan recruitment, upskilling, and succession strategies.
  • Analyze workforce metrics (turnover, productivity, absenteeism, etc.) to identify trends and improvement areas.
  • Design and maintain workforce planning tools, dashboards, and reports.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives like organizational redesign, shift planning, and workforce optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and internal policies in staffing plans.
  • Prepare detailed workforce analytics reports and present findings to leadership.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc / M.Sc Degree in related fields with 4 - 10 years of work experience.
